Brooke in Ghana

Brooke is in Ghana now. She loves how friendly the people are and is even learning some of the language. The water project she is there for is going well. We miss each other a lot.
It has been interesting for me to be alone. Since we met in December the longest we had been apart is 30 hours. One of the other members of the group asked her if she had allergies due to her red eyes, which is really cute because my wife had been crying because she misses me.

Markle misses Brookle.

Change in Venue

We have had to change our venue due to an oil spill in Red Butte Creek. Chevron feels responsible for our displacement and has been very generous in helping us find and secure a new venue at the Millcreek Inn. We hope you will come and celebrate our marriage from 6-9 pm on June 24th.

Dinner will be served from 6-7 pm and there will be a dessert bar for the duration. If you have any questions send me an email at markisraeltaylor@gmail.com.

Directions and maps can be found on the Millcreek Inn webpage.

Sweet Business Deal

So just to clarify...neither set of our parents has paid us to marry the other person. Mark thought it would be really funny to shake hands instead of kiss as soon as we were married. Everyone would be expecting the kiss. But a "nice doing business with you" would really throw them through a loop.

We ended up referring to our upcoming marriage as our business transaction. He does, after all, gain access to my bank accounts...which are depleted due to grad school, so let's hope he's not marrying me for my money. Nonetheless, I am his sugar mama (from the mouth of Evan Lewis...and he would know). :)

Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure Mark did offer my Dad 15 cows for me (beat that Mahana!). He said we were going to the roundup down on his family's ranch and we could get the cows there. Then again, I think he said he would find the sickly ones or something so that they wouldn't be missed. So there you have it...I am worth 15 frail and bedraggled cows. I've never felt so special in all of my life.

Brooke and Mark First Date re-do

We made a video of our date to reminisce about our first date. Little did Brooke know I had more in mind for the night. I hope you enjoy the playlist.
